Strang Book Group and Big Idea have announced a partnership to promote an upcoming book by New York Times best-selling author and physician Don Colbert with the release of a new VeggieTales DVD series in the "Veggies Are Good For You" promotion. The partnership--featuring a campaign in the Christian retail channel and the general market, consisting of P.O.S. (point of sale) displays, advertising, publicity and marketing efforts in several grocery store chains--will highlight the "Veggies Are Good For You" DVD series and Dr. Colbert's Siloam/Strang Book Group children's book, Eat This and Live! for Kids. The book and DVD series are slated for simultaneous release this fall. Best known for the "Bible Cure" series--which has sold more than 3 million copies--Colbert is the author of two New York Times best-selling books, Dr. Colbert's "I Can Do This" Diet and The Seven Pillars of Health, as well as Toxic Relief, Living in Divine Health and Eat This and Live! Lucy Diaz Kurz, vice president of marketing for Strang Book Group, said Big Idea's "creativity and reputation in the marketplace are well-recognized and respected. As both organizations began our respective promotional processes, it became apparent that we were each on the brink of launching products that were perfect complements to one another." Greg Fritz, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Big Idea, added: "It's exciting to know that Strang Book Group is committed to partnering with us as we share principles of healthy living to change the lives of children and those who love them." Strang Book Group is part of Strang Communications, which publishes Christian Retailing. |
