Bible reference supplier Rose Publishing is launching a giveaway program to help retailers draw more traffic. The Torrance, Calif.-based creator of Bible charts and other study materials, winner of the 2010 Christian Retailing Retailers Choice Award for Best Christian Education material, is introducing the Free Bible E-Charts of the Month program. The initiative allows bookstores to send a monthly e-mail link to customers that takes them to a Rose Web page, where they can download a Bible chart at no charge. The aim is to raise the store's profile and increase awareness and sales of the supplier's products. The retail effort is a spin-off from an online sales drive Rose ran last year, and which President and CEO Gretchen Goldsmith detailed in a marketing case study presentation at the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association Executive Leadership Summit in Nashville, earlier this month. She told how online sales had increased by 50% in the year to August 2009 when the company increased its e-mail marketing efforts, while visits to the Rose Web site quadrupled. Goldsmith said that the retail program could help attract more customers to stores. "It increases awareness that Rose products exist, and are attractive and valuable," she said. Each free e-chart features about 10%-20% of a full-length pamphlet "and also shows other products the customer might like." The free download is a three-page PDF. The title page grants permission to print up to 10 copies for friends, the next features the free e-chart, and the third includes photos and information about other products of interest. |
