A Christian title has topped Amazon's free Kindle titles best-sellers list, which is updated hourly. An Abingdon Press novel, They Almost Always Come Home by Cynthia Ruchti, which released in April, headed the free list at press time.

Other Christian publishers are represented on the free list, but with 2009 titles. Baker Publishing Group's No Place for a Lady (Revell), a Western by Maggie Brendan, came in at No. 3, while Zondervan's Treason by Don Brown is at No. 4.

Among the Christian nonfiction titles making the free list are two from Tyndale House Publishers, Nine Ways God Always Speaks by Mark Herringshaw and Jennifer Schuchmann at No. 10 and 50 Days of Heaven by Randy Alcorn at No. 12.

Amazon.com recently divided its Kindle best-sellers list into two, one with titles consumers pay for and the other with free titles. Click here to see the two Kindle lists.
