New Orleans Saints quarterback and Super Bowl XLIV MVP Drew Brees will take part in a book-signing tour next month to promote his autobiography. The tour will coincide with the July 6 release of Coming Back Stronger: Unleashing the Hidden Power of Adversity (Tyndale House Publishers), which chronicles not only the comeback story one of the NFL's top quarterbacks, but also the rebirth of New Orleans and a team that many had all but written off. Chris Fabry, co-author of Ohio State University football coach Jim Tressel's The Winners Manual (Tyndale House), collaborated with Brees in writing the book. The multi-city book tour--which will not stop in any Christian bookstore--includes stores in seven states: New Jersey, Indiana, Louisiana, California, Florida, Alabama and Mississippi. Brees will sign up to three copies of his book for each person at each stop, and he will not be able to pose for photographs, Tyndale officials said. Tyndale has released several football-related books that have made the New York Times best-sellers lists, including First Things First by former NFL star quarterback Kurt Warner and his wife, Brenda; Game Plan for Life by NFL Hall of Fame member Joe Gibbs; Uncommon and Quiet Strength by retired NFL coach Tony Dungy; The Winners Manual; and Don't Bet Against Me! by Deanna Favre, wife of NFL star quarterback Brett Favre. With more than a million copies sold, Quiet Strength--released in August 2007--has become one of the best-selling, sports-related titles in history. |
