The American Christian Fiction Writers' (ACFW) annual conference kicks off tomorrow. To be held Sept. 17-20 at the Hyatt Regency in Indianapolis, the event will feature the presentation of The Carol Awards, formerly called the Book of the Year Awards. Touted as "The Premier Christian Fiction Conference," the event will feature keynote speaker Tim Downs--a Christy Award-winning author--as well as workshops and education sessions. Carol Johnson, the award's namesake, and author Janette Oke will serve as guest award presenters. Johnson broke ground in Christian publishing in 1979 by acquiring Oke's Love Comes Softly for Bethany House, where she was an editor. Click here for more information. |
