Curriculum supplier Group Publishing has developed a new non-print resource for families on the go. The Loveland, Colo.-based company has released Gabbit, a hockey puck-shaped and sized electronic conversation-starter. It contains 75 questions in each of five categories--Favorites, What If?, Friends & Family, Zingers and This or That. Aimed at children aged 5 and older, the questions include, "If you could change your name, what would you change it to?" and "Are you more like a teddy bear or a polar bear?" The questions are voiced by actor Tony Hale (Arrested Development, Chuck). "Research shows us that families that have at last one faith conversation per week are much stronger and closer," said Group Public Relations Manager Shannon Velasquez. "Other research shows that families spend most of their time together in the car. Gabbit meets both these areas by giving parents an easy, fun way to have meaningful conversations with their kids." Shipped to stores this month, the first Gabbit is the Family Faith Edition, with more planned for the future. It retails for $19.99. Click here for more information.
