Best-selling author John Eldredge has signed a multi-book contract with Hachette Book Group 's FaithWords division.

Eldredge, who has sold more than 9 million books, wrote the best-sellers Wild at Heart, The Ransomed Heart and Captivating for Thomas Nelson—his publisher for years. His last major book—co-authored with his wife, Stasi, Love & War: Finding the Marriage You've Dreamed Of—was published by Doubleday Religion in 2009.

Loving Jesus, Eldredge's first book under the new deal, is slated for September 2011. Rolf Zettersten, senior vice president and publisher for FaithWords and Center Street, said he was Eldredge's publisher for his first three books more than a decade ago. He added that Eldredge “has created an incredible body of work that has impacted a generation with his fresh insights.”
