In a move to help consumers find Christian resources and support Christian stores, CBA has instituted a new policy that allows non-member bookstores to be listed on the association's store-locator service. "This is an attempt to include all Christian stores in our common ministry and outreach whether they are CBA member stores or not," CBA Executive Director Curtis Riskey said. "CBA is concerned about all Christian stores and their ministry impact in local communities and their business success. "Our hope is stores would be CBA members and take advantage of member services and benefits we have and contribute to industry unity, but our common goal of supporting individuals and the church with Christ-honoring resources ... is most important," Riskey added. Recently, more than 1,500 stores were listed on the site www.ChristianStores.org, including about 300 non-member stores. CBA member stores receive added benefits in the listing, including a link to the store's Web site, a mobile option so consumers can download store information to their cell phones, and priority listing.
