For the 11th consecutive season, suppliers of Christian products have been entering their best products in Christian Retailing's Retailers Choice Awards. Introduced in 2001, the Retailers Choice Awards have been increasingly acknowledged as an important way of recognizing some of the most significant new life-changing products in the Christian retail industry. Until Monday, Jan. 31, suppliers and authors can enter what they consider their best releases of 2010 in 45 categories of books, Bibles, gifts, music, DVDs and more. The fee is just $50 per item. For 2011, a number of new categories have been added, including First-Time Authors and books in the Reformed theological tradition. Also added Curriculum: Nontraditional for lessons that fall outside the scope of Sunday school and Vacation Bible School. Additionally, fiction has been expanded to include all of the following: Children's; Contemporary Romance; Fantasy/Science Fiction; Historical Romance; Mystery and Suspense; and General. Retailer voting begins Feb. 28 in the Christian Retailing-sponsored competition. The 2011 winners will be announced in April.
