Best-selling author and radio and television Bible teacher Kay Arthur has been honored at the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) annual convention. Arthur—who has written more than 100 books, including Lord, Teach Me to Study the Bible in 28 Days (Harvest House Publishers), as well as When the Hurt Runs Deep: Healing and Hope for Life's Desperate Moments and Lord, I Want to Know You: A Devotional Study on the Names of God (both WaterBrook Press)—was presented with the Hall of Fame Award on March 1. The award is presented to an individual "for invaluable contribution to the field of Christian communications, exhibition of the highest standards and evidence of faithfulness in Christ." Arthur's "paramount concern is for the sheep to follow the good Shepherd," said NRB President and CEO Frank Wright. Four of her books have won the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association's Gold Medallion Book Awards—now known as the Christian Book Awards—including The International Inductive Study Bible, His Imprint, My Expression and A Marriage Without Regrets (all Harvest House), as well as Lord, I Need Grace to Make It (Multnomah). Approximately half a dozen publishers exhibited at the Feb. 26-March 1 event in Nashville, including Harvest House, Charisma Media, Thomas Nelson and Tyndale House Publishers. Featured speakers included authors Chuck Swindoll, Gracia Burnham and Ravi Zacharias. Click here for more information on the NRB convention. |
