Digital publishing trends and challenges will be high on the agenda when Christian book company leaders get together in May. Social media, smart phone apps and e-books are among the topics scheduled for the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association’s (ECPA) Executive Leadership Summit to be held in Colorado Springs, Colo., May 2-4. Presenters will address issues such as how to compete in a book market dominated by giants, the current state of publishing, trends in business leadership and how to use mobile technology to build trends and market with the new QR codes. Among the scheduled speakers are Phil Cooke, founder and president of Cooke Pictures; Bob Carlton, vice president and publisher of Kirkus Reviews; Rob Eagar, founder of WildFire Marketing; and Tami Heim, a partner at brand development agency The A Group. The event will also see the announcement of the winners of the 2011 ECPA Christian Book Awards and the Christian Book of the Year. |
