Charisma Media's Spanish group, Casa Creación, has been identified as the fastest-growing part of the organization last year, prompting several promotions and the relaunch of a print version of the Spanish-language magazine Vida Cristiana. Lydia Morales has been promoted from director to executive director of Casa Creación, which saw more than 15% growth in 2010. Morales manages all Spanish books for the U.S. and international market for Casa Creación, Publicaciones Casa and Vida Cristiana, which recently started a partnership with the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference. Vida Cristiana, which saw its last print issue in May 2009, will be relaunched as a bimonthly print publication during Expolit 2011—the largest trade show in the U.S. for Spanish-language Christian products, which is to be held May 19-24 in Miami. The magazine's May/June issue will have a 35,000-copy circulation. Julio Vientós, who has worked for Casa Creación for two years, has been promoted to Casa's sales manager. Vientós manages international bookstores and distributors as well as national Hispanic bookstores, while overseeing Casa Creación's marketing. Antonio "Tony" Rivera has been promoted from Casa Creación's project coordinator to managing editor of Vida Cristiana. "Casa Creación is getting closer to a new phase of expansion and growth in many areas that previously we could not enter because we were a young publisher," Morales said. "But now we have matured, and I believe God has been positioning us to be a leading publisher of inspirational resources." Charisma Media, which publishes Christian Retailing, was formerly known as Strang Communications. |
