Charisma House Book Group, formerly Strang Book Group, has announced the formation of Creation House Press (CHP), a self-publishing venture to meet market demand. CHP is a separate entity from Creation House, the co-publishing imprint of Charisma House. "In light of the changing publishing landscape, Creation House Press provides a much-needed service to authors who need an economical approach to publishing," said Tessie DeVore, executive vice president of Charisma House. Available to first-time and veteran authors, CHP's services include marketing initiatives, printing and publishing packages, and e-book conversion along with distribution. "Creation House Press is a social press network designed to bring to fruition an author's idea to the printed page or digital e-book," said Atalie Anderson, Creation House Press manager. "We plan to facilitate the needs of authors using the latest technology available in book publishing." Other Christian publishers who have ventured into self- or co-publishing programs include WinePress Publishing, Salem Communications' Xulon Press, LifeWay's CrossBooks and Thomas Nelson's WestBow Press. Charisma House and CHP are part of Charisma Media, publisher of Christian Retailing magazine. |
