![]() Sales of religious books significantly rose in March—the third month in a row of increase for the category, according to the Association of American Publishers (AAP). Compared to the same period last year, March's sales for religious books increased 27.4% to $63.5 million, following a 5.5% increase to $48.5 million in February sales. In March 2010, religious books sales totaled $49.8 million. The biggest growth in the AAP report, however, was e-book sales, which continued to rise in March—reflecting an increase of 145.7% to $69 million, compared to March 2010, when sales were $28.1 million. Based on data from 84 publishers, both print and digital formats of all categories of books saw revenue gains in March compared to March 2010, according AAP. Click here |
