Christian suppliers now offer a plethora of options when it comes to photo frames, including wood, metal, resin, ceramic, glass and acrylic frames in a variety of sizes with scripture and non-scripture, as well as personalization and voice-message options.

With price points typically ranging for under $30, frames—mostly purchased by women—are popular gift choices for wedding, anniversary, birthday, memorial, first communion, confirmation and graduation occasions as well as Mother's Day and Father's Day.

All of Lighthouse Christian Products (LCP) products have scripture on them, and the Schaumburg, Ill.-based company offers wood, metal, resin, ceramic and combinations of materials for its more than 160 SKUs of frames.

"Customers have preferences, likes and dislikes, so we need to offer many types of selections," Vice President of Sales Ed Nizynski told Inspirational Gift Mart magazine. "Photo frames sell very well. Studies show that the average home has over 10 photo frames in it, and seasonally they bring out more."

Due to frames' popularity, Dalton, Ohio-based P. Graham Dunn has expanded its frame selections during the past year and plans to add at least four new designs to its line. The company carries approximately 19 different styles of frames with color and inscription variations to each style, adding up to 61 total SKUs along with 14-plus styles in Dunn's personalized line.

Since frames appeal to men and women and can be sold year round, they are "a missed opportunity if you are not carrying a variety of them," said Dunn's Sales and Marketing Support Manager Kimberly Holliday. "They are the go-to gift for every occasion."
