Christian Trade Association International's (CTAI) Marketsquare International winter buying convention will again be held in tandem with the Inspirational Value Book Show (IVBS), next year . To immediately follow AmericasMart in Atlanta, the nation's largest gift and home furnishings showcase of the year, Marketsquare International and IVBS are set for Jan. 18-20, 2012 at the Sheraton Gateway Airport Hotel in Atlanta. Marketsquare International and IVBS provide "the perfect opportunity for buyers and suppliers to catch-up, meet about new products and place reorders," said Kim Pettit, executive director for CTAI. Joel Wagner, a sales representative for Genesis Marketing, said that this year's show in Atlanta "was at a convenient location and extremely valuable with the Atlanta gift show being back to back. Marketsquare International is vital in making contacts and increasing your understanding of the international market, which has a growing demand for Christian gift products." During Marketsquare International and IVBS in January, attendance was down as a number of exhibitors and buyers stayed away or were forced to cancel their trips because of a winter storm that paralyzed host city Atlanta for several days. Next year's show will again feature exhibitors with tabletop displays and training for retailers and publishers. |
