Latin music distributor CanZion has formed an alliance with Kingsway and Integrity Music, the music divisions of David C Cook, for distribution in Latin America and to independent, non-CBA Hispanic retail accounts within the United States. As part of the agreement, effective Feb. 21, CanZion will relaunch in all its territories the most recent Spanish-language albums from Danilo Montero, Julissa, Ingrid Rosario, Christine D'Clario, Vertical, Jacobo Ramos and other Latin artists signed to Kingsway and Integrity. In the near future, CanZion will also release English-language albums from Kingsway and Integrity Music artists and worship leaders such as Leigh Nash, Tim Hughes, Brenton Brown, The City Harmonic, Rend Collective Experiment, Israel Houghton, Lincoln Brewster, Paul Baloche, Desperation Band and Planetshakers. “With the changes in the music industry, CanZion has focused on building partnerships to serve the body of Christ as the platform for Christian music in the Spanish-speaking world,” said CanZion CEO Luis Quinelli. “We are very excited about this new agreement because it reinforces that goal by making Kingsway and Integrity Music available for the church.” Steve Nicolle, vice president of global sales for Kingsway and Integrity, said: “We are pleased to partner with CanZion to sell, promote and distribute our English and Spanish-language recordings to the Latin market. CanZion is passionate about worship music and its importance as a resource for the church throughout Spanish-speaking communities in the United States and Latin America, which aligns perfectly with our mission statement.” Cook acquired Kingsway in 1993, and in 2011, reached a deal with Mobile, Ala.-based Integrity Media to acquire Integrity Music. |
