Moody Publishers has announced a new structure and stronger collaborative partnership with the radio and education ministries of Moody Bible Institute (MBI). The plan was recently developed in concert with MBI’s new vision: “Across the globe, cultures and generations, Moody will equip people with the truth of God’s Word using new technology in an agile and innovative community.” Moody Publishers’ strategy includes forming self-sustaining publishing teams on every continent by 2020, and plans to develop products for urban communities by expanding its offerings for African-Americans, Latinos and urban influencers. The company’s new leadership team is composed of Paul Santhouse, publisher, responsible for eight publishing groups, including the newly formed Academic, Bible & Reference, Urban, and Global Publishing groups; Steve Lyon, editor in chief, responsible for content development, digital publishing and innovation strategy; Duane Koenig, business manager, overseeing sales, marketing services, production, business systems, customer service and distribution; and Ed Santiago, director of finance, responsible for all financial functions plus the management of licensing all content rights. Greg Thornton, senior vice president of media for MBI, believes the new structure “will quicken our ability to help readers know, love and serve Jesus Christ. It has always been our passion to equip people with the truth of God’s Word so that they can be mature followers of Christ who are making disciples around the world.” |
