New York Times best-selling author Max Lucado has signed a new three-book contract with his longtime publisher, Thomas Nelson. The three trade books will release in the next five years, the first in fall 2013. The contract also allows Thomas Nelson to publish ancillary products based on the content of the upcoming titles, which will likely be for the children’s, gift and curriculum groups within the company to release simultaneously with each respective trade book. “It has been our privilege to serve as Max’s publisher and brand team, and we look forward to all that God has in store for our partnership,” said David Moberg, Thomas Nelson senior vice president and group publisher. “The team at Thomas Nelson has a passion for inspiring the world, and I’m honored to be a part of it,” Lucado said. This contract is the ninth consecutive multiple-book agreement Lucado has signed with Nelson, which has published his books since The Applause of Heaven released in 1990. Under Lucado’s current contract, his next trade book, GRACE: More Than We Deserve, Greater Than We Imagine, will release Sept. 18. |
