Based on evangelist Josh McDowell's memoir of the same title published next month by Tyndale Momentum, Undaunted: The Early Life of Josh McDowell won two Crown Awards in the Best Documentary and Best Evangelistic Film categories at last month's International Christian Video Media Conference. The 2011 Sherwood Pictures movie Courageous won the Best Drama over $250,000 category during the conference, held July 10-13 in Orlando, Fla. Vision Video won two Crown Awards in the Best Documentary Under $50,000 category for Through a Lens Darkly: Grief, Loss, and C.S. Lewis and the Best Children's Video category for The William Booth Story, part of "The Torchlighters: Heroes of the Faith" line distributed by Vision Video. The Crown Awards are designed to recognize excellence in production and content of films and DVDs that are created to reflect faith-based values. The awards began around 1973 as a way for distributors to honor the work of film/TV producers. International Christian Video Media is an international consortium of producers and distributors in faith-based visual media. Click here for the complete list of the winners. |
