Atlanta-based band Third Dayhas earned another Gold record with its 2006 album, Christmas Offerings (Essential Records/Provident Distribution). The achievement marks the band’s ninth career RIAA Gold Album Award.

Christmas Offerings is the third project in Third Day’s “Offerings” series, also comprising Offerings I, Offerings II and the Christmas Offerings DVD. The record features a blend of Christmas classics, originals and some of Third Day’s most well known worship songs.

The news comes shortly after the band claimed its 28th No. 1 radio single with “I Need a Miracle” from its most recent studio project, Miracle, which released Dec. 6. The band launches its The Miracle Tour Feb. 21 and will visit 45 cities through May.
