Wreath by Judy Christie (Barbour Publishing) has been named Pulpwood Queen's 2012 Teen to Adult Crossover Book of the Year, and The Man in the Blue Moon by Michael Morris (Tyndale House Publishers) got the nod for 2012 Fiction Book of the Year. The Pulpwood Queens book club was established in 2000 by Kathy Patrick, a licensed cosmetologist turned publisher's representative who opened her own bookstore/salon, Beauty and the Books, and started her own book club, the Pulpwood Queens. The club has grown to 550 chapters and 3,000 members nationwide. Annually, members vote for their Books of the Year in five categories. The 2012 Books of the Year were announced last month, and the winners were recognized at the Pulpwood Queen's annual Girlfriend Weekend, held Jan. 17-20 in Jefferson, Texas.
