ChurchGirlDestiny Image has announced a partnership with Reverence Gospel Media (RGM) to develop and release a new line of books, curriculum and multimedia products from RGM/New Breed Publications, RGM’s newest division.

The partnership will launch with the theatrical release of RGM’s debut feature film, I’m in Love With a Church Girl, starring Jeff “Ja Rule” Atkins, Adrienne Bailon, TobyMac, Vinny Pastore, Michael Madsen and Stephen Baldwin. Author Ryan Phillips will create a novelization of the film, timed to coincide with the movie’s Oct. 18 nationwide theatrical release.

RGM founder and CEO Galley Molina, a music producer turned filmmaker, produced Church Girl alongside RGM co-founder and Vice President Israel Houghton, a multiple GRAMMY-winning gospel artist and worship leader for Lakewood Church in Houston.

“This division of our company couldn't be in better hands than Joel Nori’s and the team at Destiny Image,” Houghton said.

The film is inspired by true events and follows Miles Montego, a guy who has it all—cars, boats, good looks, a mansion, money, women—and a past. He is a retired, high-level drug trafficker who has turned over a new leaf, but the DEA can’t seem to let him out of their sights. God uses Vanessa, a “church girl” to force Miles to choose between holding on to his past or letting go and letting God have His way.

RGM is engaged in creating a variety of projects, including film, television, music, live concerts and events, with each of its divisions managed jointly by Molina and Houghton. The company’s projects have included Jesus En El Centro, Houghton’s Spanish-language version of his GRAMMY-winning recording Jesus at the Center, and Revealing Jesus, a live CD/DVD from worship artist Darlene Zschech.

A new release from Christian rap pioneer and innovator T-Bone is planned for later in the year, with projects for television, concerts and comedy to follow.
