A major event is being planned at Madison Square Garden in New York City this fall to mark Worthy Publishing's release of Pastor David Jeremiah's The Jeremiah Study Bible. To be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 5, "An Evening of Celebration in New York City With David Jeremiah & Friends" will feature Christian recording artists MercyMe, Kari Jobe and Gordon Mote in "a glorious tribute to God's Word in the heart of Manhattan," organizers said. Worship leader Marshall Hall and New York City's Brooklyn Tabernacle Singers will also be featured. "I am absolutely thrilled to celebrate the release of this study Bible in the heart of New York, a city I truly love, and alongside some of my very favorite contemporary Christian performers," said Jeremiah, who has served as senior pastor of Shadow Mountain Community Church in El Cajon, Calif., since 1981. "This promises to be a truly special evening in a truly special city celebrating a truly special book—the Word of God." On Nov. 26, Worthy will release The Jeremiah Study Bible, featuring the New King James Version and addressing three questions about Scripture: What does it say? What does it mean? and What does it mean for you? "If people walk away from the Bible and they know what it says and they know what it means, but they don't know how it works in their own life, they will see no change," Jeremiah said.
