Devotional material by one of the 20th-century’s all-time best-selling authors, C.S. Lewis, is now available for the first time on Bible Gateway.

“Bible Gateway is honored to be able to help people easily access the rich and deep thinking of C.S. Lewis that is as relevant today as it was when he first wrote it,” said Rachel Barach, general manager, Bible Gateway.

Bible Gateway will pull from some of Lewis’ most famous books—as excerpted in A Year With C.S. Lewis (HarperOne)—to provide daily meditative messages for site visitors and email subscribers. Themes such as the nature of love, the existence of miracles, overcoming loss and discovering faith are explored through Lewis’ honest insights for each day of the year.

“C.S. Lewis is arguably the leading voice for people of faith in the English-speaking world,” said Mark Tauber, senior vice president and publisher of HarperOne. “We’re thrilled to partner with Bible Gateway to bring his inspiring words to an even wider audience.”

Retailer Rick Lewis has a special dedicated section in his store to the Oxford don’s works.

“Many of [Lewis’] works speak to our hearts as well as to our minds,” said Lewis, manager of Logos Bookstore in Dallas. “He gives us a muscular theology that trumps much of the pabulum that is published today.”

Sue Smith, manager of Baker Book Store in Grand Rapids, Mich., agrees.

“C.S. Lewis holds a cornerstone on Christian literature,” said Smith, whose store also has a dedicated section for the influential author. “His writings continue to be sought after for most who take their personal faith journey seriously.”
