Best-selling author Frank Peretti was presented the Lifetime Achievement Award at the American Christian Fiction Writers’ (ACFW) annual gala Sept. 15 in Indianapolis. The novelist received a standing ovation as he was honored for his accomplishments in Christian fiction and the impact of his books on readers’ lives and faith. The Carol Awards were also presented at the conference to leading fiction authors in a variety of categories. The award winners included: Best Romance Novel, Saving Gideon by Amy Lillard (B&H Publishing Group); Best Young Adult Novel, Like Moonlight at Low Tide by Nicole Quigley (Zondervan); Best Mystery/Suspense/Thriller Novel, The Soul Saver by Dineen Miller (Barbour Publishing); and Best Debut Novel, Wildflowers from Winter by Katie Ganshert (Waterbrook Press). Other awards conferred at the event include Editor of the Year (Julie Gwinn, B&H Publishing); Agent of the Year (Natasha Kern, Natasha Kern Agency); and Mentor of the Year (author Rachel Hauck, Zondervan). |
