LifeWay Christian Stores will be celebrating Kids & Ducks Day in the chain’s stores Saturday, Oct. 19. The event will offer discounts, giveaways and kid-friendly activities centered around Duck Dynasty-related products, VeggieTales and more.

The main celebration will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and will include a kids-only Uncle Si dress-alike contest as well as giveaways, including beards on a stick, Si greeting cards, Si cups and puzzles from the children’s book Audrey Bunny (B&H Kids). The first 50 customers after 1 p.m. will receive an Uncle Si poster, and customers throughout the day can enter to win a life-size Uncle Si standee.

Customers will also be invited to view the new VeggieTales DVD Merry Larry and the True Light of Christmas—which features the voice of Uncle Si as Silas the narrator—and learn how to pack a shoebox gift for Operation Christmas Child.

Sales include The Duck Commander Family by Willie and Korie Robertson with Mark Schlabach (Howard Books) for $10, Audrey Bunny by Angie Smith for $7.49 and assorted DVDs for $2.99. LifeWay has also distributed a coupon to its customers for 30% off one regular-priced item, valid only Oct. 19.
