Two Christmas books by best-selling authors will be getting some added attention this holiday season. Ann Voskamp and Liz Curtis Higgs are teaming up for a special hour-long webcast called “Christmas at the Farm,” which will premiere one week before Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 21 at noon EST. The authors will be discussing themes from Voskamp’s The Greatest Gift(Tyndale House Publishers) and Higgs’ The Women of Christmas (WaterBrook Press). They’ll also be sharing some of their favorite Christmas memories, traditions, and recipes and tips on how they plan for a sacred and sane Christmas. Filmed at Voskamp’s farm home, the webcast will be available at www.annvoskamp.com and www.lizcurtishiggs.com. The pair will be watching the webcast with the audience, and viewers will be able to see their posts and comments during the video premiere. For any viewer not able to watch the live premiere, the video will be available online for viewing following the initial webcast. In addition, Higgs will be featured in a national radio special offering thoughts from The Women of Christmas. Hundreds of Christian radio stations around the country have signed on to air the 30-minute special or a series of 60-second vignettes, which will offer a closer look at three vital women in the story of the Christ child’s birth. Best known for her million-selling Bad Girls of the Bible, Higgs will discuss with radio host Chris Fabry three of the Bible’s good girls—Elizabeth, Mary and Anna—and why God chose them to fulfill His promise of a Messiah. |
