The Book Club Network (TCBN) has acquired Elk Lake Publishing, a five-year old nonfiction publishing company, which will now be headquartered in Atlanta. TCBN also announced that author Kathi Macias has joined their staff as the senior vice president of acquisitions for the company’s planned fiction line, which will launch in early 2014.

“Kathi Macias has been on our volunteer board and brings decades of experience in the publishing world, as well as an understanding of what we want to publish,” said Fred St. Laurent, CEO of The Book Club Network.

“We are seeking authors for specific projects we are targeting based on what our platform is telling us readers want,” St. Laurent added. “Our magazine now goes out to 250,000 readers, and their feedback is giving us direction.”
