CBS Sports has picked up the title track from GRAMMY-nominated and platinum-selling rockers Skillet’s latest album RISE (Atlantic/Word) as the theme song for a series of new promos. For the next six months “Rise” will be featured in regular custom spots among college hockey promotions on CBS and the CBS Sports Network. The veteran rockers also have two new singles from the album climbing mainstream and Christian radio charts. “Not Gonna Die” hit No. 4 on Christian Rock Radio four weeks after its single debut and is also gaining on mainstream radio’s Active Rock chart. “Fire and Fury,” meanwhile, was the most added song this week and had the week’s highest debut on the Christian Hot AC chart at No. 24. Skillet has been touring with mainstream rockers Nickelback on their European tour, and will head to Russia and the Ukraine to headline their own shows once the tour concludes later this month. Thereafter, the band will kick off The Roadshow 2014 tour as co-headliners with Third Day on Jan. 9 in Sacramento, Calif. |
