CalledToStay-webCaleb Breakey plans to give away 6,000 copies of his new book, Called to Stay (Harvest House Publishers), during his grass-roots tour in support of his book’s message.

Called to Stay, Breakey’s first book, addresses the problem of millennials leaving the church and explains why the church needs them. Breakey himself was nearly one of those statistics. Instead, he chose to stay and engage his generation in a dialogue, urging them to do the same.

“Millennials are passionate about Christ, but feel they no longer see Jesus in the church,” Breakey said. “It’s time to stop running, though. We need to start doing what Jesus has commanded of us. We’re to love the church as Christ loved her, and help bring back stagnant believers who’ve wandered away from their first love.”

In addition to the tour and book giveaway, Breakey is seeking help from crowdsourcing site Rally.org to help spread the message of Called to Stay. Through Rally.org/calledtostay, he is hoping to convict others to partner with him as he moves forward with the ministry Called to Stay has delivered so far.

“God is doing amazing things for this mission—and that excites us to no end,” Breakey said. “But this ministry only thrives with support from the body of Christ. We need others willing to take a stand and help us reach millennials. We don’t want empty and abandoned churches to be the future for this generation.”

His next major tour appearance will be at the National Youth Workers Convention in Nashville, Nov. 22-24.
