Debut author wins children’s book award |

Annie Tipton’s debut novel, Diary of a Real Payne: True Story (Barbour Publishing), has received Old Schoolhouse Magazine’s Blue Ribbon Award for Best Children’s Book for 2013. Book one in the “Diary of a Real Payne” series, True Story is tells the story of lovable 10-year-old Emma Jean (“E.J.”) Payne and her well-meant-but-often-misunderstood antics and adventures in Spooner, Wis. Church Camp Chaos, the second installment in this three-book series, is scheduled to release in March 2014. At the end of every year, Old Schoolhouse Magazine’s Schoolhouse Review Crew chooses their favorite products to receive a Blue Ribbon Award for excellence. The Schoolhouse Review Crew is a viral marketing network comprised of 250 homeschooling families that blog about products that promote education especially in the homeschooling arena. |
