‘Duck the Halls’ CD sells big at Christian retail |

The Robertson family’s Duck the Halls (Universal/Capitol Christian Distribution) is ringing up sales at Christian retail stores. The latest SoundScan report for the week ending Dec. 8 shows the seasonal CD at No. 4 behind No. 1 Wow Hits 2014 (Wow/Capital Christian); How Great Is Our God: The Essential Collection, Chris Tomlin (sixstepsrecords/Capitol Christian); and Christmas, Francesca Battistelli (Fervent Records/Word Distribution). Rounding out the top five is Wow Christmas (Blue) (Word Records/Word). Duck Dynasty’s Dec. 11 Christmas special on A&E also saw significant ratings success, as the show, with back-to-back episodes starting at 10 p.m., drew an average of 8.9 million viewers. Among adults 18-49, Duck Dynasty brought in 4.5 million viewers, and with adults 25-54, it had 4.6 million. In 2013, the Robertson family lifted primetime ratings 12% for A&E among targeted adults. The fifth season of the hit reality show kicks off Jan. 15, 2014. |
