First-time author Allison Pataki’s The Traitor’s Wife (Howard Books) is set to debut at No. 5 New York Times Trade Paperback Fiction best-seller list. Pataki was a writer for ABCNews.com and FoxNews.com, and is the daughter of former New York Governor George E. Pataki. The historical tale, set during the American Revolution, is centered around Peggy Shippen Arnold, wife of traitor Benedict Arnold and, according to Pataki’s story, the architect of her husband’s betrayal of the patriots’ cause. Pataki was inspired to pen The Traitor’s Wife after growing up in New York’s Hudson Highlands near West Point. |
