Southern Baptists to nominate author Ronnie Floyd for president |

Arkansas-based pastor and author Ronnie Floyd will be nominated to be the next Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) president at the SBC annual meeting in June. The announcement was made Feb. 20 by Southern Baptist Theological Seminary President R. Albert Mohler Jr. Floyd is the author of 10 books, including Our Last Great Hope: Awakening the Great Commission (Thomas Nelson) and The Power of Prayer and Fasting (B&H Books). Floyd served as the general editor for the updated and enhanced version of “Bible Studies for Life,” LifeWay’s most popular Bible study curriculum, released last fall. The series is used in an estimated 30,000 churches, reaching more than 1.5 million people. |
