Worthy Publishing has announced the creation of a Spanish-language imprint, Worthy Latino. The new imprint will publish the company’s list for both the Spanish and Portuguese markets in the U.S. and internationally. “Creating a Spanish imprint and hiring an expert in the Hispanic market is a strategic opportunity that allows Worthy to reach even further internationally with our product offerings and distribution,” said Byron Williamson, president and CEO of Worthy Publishing. Industry veteran Sam Rodriguez has been hired as executive director of Worthy Latino. Rodriguez comes to Worthy after serving in leadership roles at companies including Spanish House, Crown Financial Ministries and Thomas Nelson Publishers’ Spanish division. Throughout his 25-year career, he has been instrumental in launching books and increasing platform visibility in the Spanish market for such authors as Max Lucado, John Maxwell, Dave Ramsey, John Mason, Andy Andrews, Stormie Omartian, John Hagee, Charles Swindoll, Marilyn Hickey, Charles Stanley, Jack Hayford and Luis Palau. “It is my privilege to be part of Worthy Publishing, a company with a fresh pioneering vision to impact the Hispanic market,” Rodriguez said. Worthy Latino’s first titles will include the Spanish edition of John Hagee’s New York Times best-selling Four Blood Moons, as well as titles by Charles R. Swindoll, Tim Clinton, John Townsend, Stephen Arterburn, and Les & Leslie Parrott. |
