Moms and movie-goers will have the opportunity to get an early taste of the Moms’ Night Out film, ahead of its nationwide release Mother’s Day weekend with the publication of two film tie-ins by B&H Publishing Group. A Moms’ Night Out novelization by Tricia Goyer, and daily devotional Moms’ Night Out and Other Things I Miss: Devotions to Help You Survive by Hollywood comedienne Kerri Pomarolli have hit store shelves ahead of the May 9 launch of the film, which stars Patricia Heaton (Everybody Loves Raymond) and Sean Astin (the “Lord of the Rings” film trilogy). A family-comedy that celebrates the complicated world of parenting, Goyer’s Moms’ Night Out novelization chronicles how three harried moms, their husbands, a sister-in-law with a misplaced baby, a tattoo-parlor owner, a motorcycle gang and a bewildered cabbie become intertwined in each others’ lives after one momentous moms’ night out. Goyer is the award-winning author of more than 40 books, and draws from her experiences as a teen mother and mom of six. Moms’ Night Out and Other Things I Miss is a devotional intended to help moms survive the day-to-day calls to action that define parenting. Inspired by the film, Pomarolli aims not only to make readers laugh, but also to help moms discover that they are not without God’s gracious provision. Called Hollywood’s “God Girl,” Pomarolli is an accomplished actress, comedian, published author, Christian speaker and veteran of television—with credits that include 29 appearances on The Tonight Show and Comedy Central. |
