B&H Kids has announced that it will be joining with Big Idea and DreamWorks Animation for a new line of VeggieTales products. In spring 2015, B&H Kids will be releasing the first titles in a series of VeggieTales comic books. This is the first time that VeggieTales will appear in the new super-comic format. Each super comic will feature three stories–a familiar adventure story, an already-popular Bible story and an all-new Larry Boy story. Volumes 1 and 2 will be published in early 2015 with additional titles releasing later in the year. New stories in these volumes include “Larry Boy and the Prideosaurus” and “Larry Boy and the Reckless Ruckus.” Dan Lynch, publisher for B&H Kids, is thankful for the new alliance. “We are excited that B&H Kids is working with Big Idea/DreamWorks Animation on expanding the VeggieTales line. These super comics are a fresh approach for a trusted brand and a new way to introduce children to the truths of the Bible. B&H Kids has been blessed to share this message with kids and parents across the world, and to go with our tagline, I suppose we can now add, ‘Every little vegetable matters.’ ” Big Idea Entertainment President Leslie Ferrell is also excited about the new series. "We are so pleased to be working with B&H Kids on the VeggieTales super comics line,” she said. “The combination of Bible stories plus the fun comic-book graphics are made for kids to delve into and enjoy.” VeggieTales is the best-selling children’s faith-based property in the world, selling more than 70 million DVDs, 15 million books, 7 million CDs and 2 million plush toys, according to Big Idea. |
