The Android version of the Charisma News app—which includes the Christian Retailing mobile channel—unexpectedly stopped working June 12. The good news is our programmers worked tirelessly to rectify the problem and got the app back up and running within 24 hours. However, all Android users will need to update their app in the Play Store order for it to start working again. Please also be advised that you may notice diminished performance and at times experience glitches in the photos displaying properly or in the entire article being displayed. If you have problems reading an article, you can always click on the "share" button in the upper right corner of the article and then click the "open in browser" button. Doing this will take you to our mobile website where you can read the complete article as well as read any other articles that are on our website. The "refresh" functionality also isn't the same as it used to be. If you would like to refresh the list of articles, you'll need to click the refresh (circular arrow icon in upper right corner of article list) and then click the "refresh" button that pops down after that. These are the features that are not available in the current version, but were available in previous version: ability to save articles for offline reading; ability to sign up for push notifications; bookmark articles; see how many times the article was shared on Facebook or Twitter; ability to search for articles by keyword; and ability to share articles via all sharable apps loaded on your phone. We will notify users via a push notification and an article inside the app as soon as a better working version is available for download. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your reading industry news from Christian Retailing. |
