A group of CAN (Christian Authors Network) authors will play a vital role at the 2014 International Christian Retail Show (ICRS) next week in Atlanta. CAN President Angela Breidenbach is scheduled to keynote at the Logos Bookstores Conference on June 21, just prior to ICRS. “I am honored to be a part of the Change A Life Festival at ICRS,” Breidenbach said. “The event is intended to benefit Buckhead Christian Ministry’s Atlanta Outreach, while providing quality Christian entertainment and fun.” Breidenbach also will emcee the CAN String Slam on stage at the Change A Life Festival on Sunday, June 22nd. Open to the public, the festival aims to raise awareness of Christian stores and the industry’s mission. It expands the ICRS Ministry in Action project and invites the community to connect with industry members. The project benefits Buckhead Christian Ministry and features messages from Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson and Alan Robertson. Other authors participating in the CAN String Slam include Kathi Macias, Twila Belk and Torry Martin. In addition, CAN authors have been named finalists in the Christian Retailing’s Best awards. Karen Whiting’s The One Year My Princess Devotions from Tyndale House Publishers is a finalist, and Cynthia Ruchti is a finalist in two categories with When the Morning Glory Blooms and Ragged Hope, both from Abingdon Press. |
