Barbour Publishing has announced it has signed a contract with Josh McDowell—best-selling author, speaker and founder of Josh McDowell Ministry, a ministry of Cru (the U.S. division of Campus Crusade for Christ International). Under the contract, Barbour will release two titles under its new Shiloh Run Press imprint, which focuses heavily on the Christian Living category and on uniquely qualified new and experienced authors. McDowell’s God-Breathed will be released in May 2015 and illustrates how the Old and New Testaments are the most reliable documents of all antiquity. McDowell has an interest in such antiquities, having recently acquired a Torah scroll dated at 1450 and also possessing 1,600-year-old New Testament fragments. God-Breathed communicates the compelling message that God’s Word is alive and powerful as well as accurate and reliable. His second book with Barbour will release in July 2015 and unmasks the true nature of the cultural condition of “tolerance,” guiding readers to stand for a heroic truth that represents universal biblical values with love and respect for others—especially when others are hostile. “I am excited to be partnering with Barbour Publishing on my next two books,” McDowell said. “The team at Barbour, led by Tim Martins, is experienced and passionate about publishing a message that builds the kingdom. Barbour feels like family, and I’m delighted to be considered one of their authors.” Barbour Publishing is equally pleased about the new venture with McDowell. “We are delighted to have entered this partnership with Josh McDowell and his ministry,” said Vice President of Editorial Kelly McIntosh. “To think about the potential these two books will have to touch lives with biblical truth—it’s just thrilling.” |
