B&H Kids acquires select Standard Publishing titles |

B&H Kids recently acquired 90 children’s titles from Standard Publishing. A number of titles from best-selling authors Sally Lloyd-Jones, Mary Manz Simon, Dandi Mackall, Andy Holmes and Susan Lingo as well as brands My Goodnight Bible, Baby Blessings, “Baby’s First” series, First Virtues and The Young Reader’s Bible were included in the acquisition. “Standard Publishing’s core strengths are in providing curriculum, adult Bible study and special programming resources for the church,” said Peter Esposito, CEO and president of Standard's parent company, CFM Publishing. “We are glad to have found a home for these books where their ministry value can be continued.” This is a key initiative for B&H Kids as the company continues to seek opportunities to expand its product offering for preschoolers and their teachers and parents. The majority of B&H Kids content previously had been developed for 4- to 8-year-olds and 8- to 12-year-olds. An imprint of B&H Publishing Group, B&H Kids will be releasing some of the newly acquired titles in 2015 and redeveloping some of the content for future releases in 2016 and beyond. “We are so pleased that we’ve been given this opportunity,” said Dan Lynch, publisher of B&H Kids. “Our team has already begun to evaluate these products, and we see great potential in bringing these biblical resources for kids back into the market.” Selma Wilson, president of B&H Publishing Group, agrees. “We’re excited about this acquisition and what it will bring to B&H Kids,” Wilson said. “Since we entered the kids’ category in 2012, we have seen strong growth as we built both our product line and the B&H Kids editorial and marketing team.
