Master Books has announced the publication date for its new book regarding the high-profile debate between evolutionist Bill Nye and creationist Ken Ham. Titled Inside the Nye-Ham Debate, the book will be available Oct. 27 and is described by the publisher as a "tell all." Bill Nye, The Science Guy, and Ham, founder of Answers in Genesis, squared off during a live debate Feb. 4 where they addressed the question: “Is creation a viable model of origins in today’s modern scientific era?” Based on a conservative estimate, 7.6 million people watched the debate, and there were 3.5 million views on YouTube. On the most recent cover of Popular Science magazine, Nye is pictured with his fists taped up ready for battle. “I want to destroy him, and I’m in a unique position to do so,” he said in the magazine ahead of meeting Ham for the debate. “Popular Science and Bill Nye believe that any critique of evolution or any understanding of science that allows for divine creation is the cause of scientific illiteracy,” said Troy Lacey of Answers in Genesis. “Isaac Newton firmly disagreed with this in his time, as does Dr. Raymond Damadian (inventor of the MRI) today. Hundreds of creation scientists past and present disagree with this anti-science statement, and in fact, their firm stance on biblical authority is what they credit as giving them the drive and desire to make scientific discoveries and invent new technologies.” The new book from the New Leaf Publishing Group imprint offers more answers, perspectives and truth regarding the critical question addressed. It includes a full transcript of the live debate telecast and a behind-the-scenes look with more details on the topics discussed. Click here to watch the debate. |
