SendTheLight-40-webSend The Light Distribution partnered with World Vision this fall to create a program to equip independent Christian retailers to engage their customers with child-sponsorship opportunities.

Mark Phillips, vice president of sales and marketing at Send The Light, looks for great things from this partnership.

“I’m delighted to be partnering with World Vision in this important initiative to increase awareness of the need for child sponsorship by equipping Christian retailers with the necessary tools to increase awareness among their customers about the ways they can help a child through a nominal, monthly financial commitment,” Phillips said.

World Vision’s Michael Gillespie, manager of retail partnerships, is excited about the new program.

“We are thrilled to work with the Send The Light team to place World Vision child sponsorship within independent Christian retail stores across America,” Gillespie said. “The customers at their local independent Christian retailer will have the opportunity to sponsor children and help transform the lives of those children, their families and communities through the work of World Vision.”

Working in nearly 100 countries, World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization that serves all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender, as a demonstration of God’s unconditional love. The organization is not only child focused, but also works in short-term emergency relief as well as sustainable community development.
