Best-selling author Sheila Walsh and B&H Kids have agreed on a multi-book deal that will focus on a new brand to be announced in 2015. The project will be designed to gets kids excited about digging into the Bible and provide tools for parents to help lead their children to Christ. Walsh’s message aligns well with the mission of the children's imprint of B&H Publishing Group: Every Little Word Matters. “I am honored to be a part of the B&H Kids family,” Walsh said. “How do we make the Bible applicable? Reading the Bible is great. Studying the Bible is better. But applying the Bible is what this project is really about. We have to fight for these generations of children. We have to teach them the truth.” Walsh is a Bible teacher and author with more than 4 million books sold. For the last 18 years, she has been a featured speaker with Women of Faith conferences and has reached more than 5 million women. In the children’s book world, she is best known for her “God’s Little Princess” line. The new B&H Kids project reflects the heart of Walsh’s message for children. “The goal is for kids to have authentic relationships with God,” Walsh said. “Sometimes God seems silent or answers prayers in ways that we don’t understand, but that doesn’t mean that God isn’t sovereign or that He’s not working. It is our job to teach the children to not be afraid to try. If they fall down, God will be there to pick them up.” B&H Kids is expecting 2015 to be a banner year for continued growth and additions to best-selling authors and brands such as The Big Picture Interactive Bible; Audrey Bunny and For Such a Time as This by Angie Smith; and VeggieTales SuperComics (February 2015). “We believe that the Bible has answers for every situation kids will face in their lives, and this new brand supports that belief,” said Dan Lynch, publisher of B&H Kids. “We are excited to have Sheila Walsh as part of our family at B&H.” |
