Kirk Cameron-fronted Saving Christmas is extending its screening run for a third week in most of its 400+ theaters. After two strong weekends since its debut, the film has received incredible support that warranted the extension, according to promoters. “After two strong weekends, families across America have made their voices heard: ‘We are ready to put Christ back in Christmas,'” a spokesman said. The latest faith-based film in a year full of them, the so-called "Year of the Bible Movie" begins to draw to a close with this holiday film. Saving Christmas aims to provide a biblical basis for many longtime Christmas traditions and celebrations, offering an engaging plot and thoughtful insight to stand as a counterpoint to a culture increasingly hostile to the religious elements of the true "reason for the season." |
