Emily P. Freeman’s Grace for the Good Girl (Revell/Baker Publishing Group) placed at No. 9 on The Wall Street Journal’s Best-Selling Books list for the week ending Nov. 22. The book released in September 2011. In Grace for the Good Girl, Freeman invites women to release their hold on the try-hard life and to lean heavy into the love of Jesus. She encourages women to move from their own impossible expectations toward God. “Emily Freeman is one of those rare writers: profoundly biblical, lyrical, transparent—memorable,” said Ann Voskamp, New York Times best-selling author of One Thousand Gifts. “Her emancipating words on these pages offer the needed keys to all the good girls longing to take wing—and soar home to God’s heart.” Freeman also is author of Graceful and A Million Little Ways. She also writes the blogs Chatting at the Sky and Hope*ologie, and contributes to DaySpring’s (in)courage. |
