StowTown Records co-founder Wayne Haun wears the many hats of producing, arranging and songwriting, but has recently been on the road as an artist, promoting his new Christmas project, Sentimental Season, at Christian retail stores. Haun made three visits in the past month to LifeWay Christian Stores in Fort Worth, Texas, and Augusta, Georgia, and took part in a special event at Cedar Springs Christian Stores in his hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee, on Black Friday. “Retail is the lifeblood for a record company, making sure that we’re represented all over the world,” Haun said. “I have really enjoyed the opportunity to meet store managers, buyers and even owners while promoting this recording.” The multi-nominated GRAMMY and Dove Award artist performed many of the songs on the album and visited with fans throughout his retail tour. “As always, it’s good to meet and spend time with fans, both old and new,” Haun said. “Without them, we’re all out of a job. And I have to admit that I still get a thrill out of seeing our product on the shelves when I visit the stores. It’s such an encouragement to keep moving forward.” With a nostalgic Frank Sinatra, Perry Como and Dean Martin 1940s-style sound, Sentimental Season will be featured in a Christmas special on Sirius/XM’s Enlighten (channel 65) Saturday, Dec. 20. Haun’s special will air at 8 p.m. EST and 5 p.m. PST, and will be rebroadcast throughout the following week. |
