2015 Selah Award finalists announced |

Dr. Alton Gansky, director of the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference (BRMCWC), and Eva Marie Everson, BRMCWC contest director, announce the finalists in the 2015 Selah Awards, awarded to published authors each year during the Blue Ridge conference. The Selah Awards are open industry-wide and internationally to authors published by traditional and nontraditional publishing houses during the previous year. The awards will be given during the Wednesday evening banquet, held May 20, at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time in the Azalea Auditorium at Ridgecrest Conference Center east of Asheville, North Carolina. This year, with hundreds of books being submitted from author and nearly 30 publishing houses, finalists have been named in 14 categories. Finalists include Dare U 2 Open This Book by Carol McAdams Moore (Zonderkidz) in the Children's category; One More Last Chance by Cathleen Armstrong (Revell/Baker Publishing Group) in Fiction: Contemporary Romance; The Hatmaker's Heart by Carla Stewart (FaithWords) in Fiction: Historical; A Cry From the Dust by Carrie Stuart Parks (Thomas Nelson) in Fiction: Mystery & Suspense; and Dead 13 Times by Cam Tribolet (Whitaker House) in Nonfiction: Memoir. The 2015 Book of the Year award is chosen by the contest director from the top scores/first place recipients and will be presented along with the Director’s Choice Award, which will be chosen by Gansky. |
