The first two books from B&H Kids are titled Can You Relate? How to Handle Parents, Friends, Boys, and More and Cherish: Cultivating Relationships with Parents, Friends, Guys, and More and will release in February 2016. "After a decade in the trenches of ministering to tween and teen girls, I’ve come to realize that their relationships are the practice field for life," Courtney said. "These resources are age-appropriate guides to help girls navigate the tricky terrain of friendships, boys, family and faith with a solid biblical foundation." Courtney intentionally wrote each book for a specific season in a girl’s life. Can You Relate? is written for young tweens, 8 to 12 years old. Cherish is targeted to older girls 13 years and up. Both books include more than 70 articles, full-color illustrations and quizzes to keep readers—and their parents—engaged with the material. Both are priced at $14.99 for 7-by-9-inch trade paper format, designed for tucking into backpacks or purses. “Vicki Courtney has a heart for girls and the people who love them,” said B&H Kids Publisher Dan Lynch. “We are honored to partner with her in coaching young girls with a positive, biblical worldview.” |
